The JN Bank Canada Representative Office is celebrating 30 years of service to the Canadian Diaspora. When we opened our doors in Toronto, Ontario in 1991, our goal was to provide liaison services for Jamaicans living in Canada who had maintained their relationship with the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS).
With the restructuring to JNBS as The Jamaica National Group and the launch of JN Bank in February 2017, the JN Bank Canada Representative Office continues to facilitate access to JN Group services, including the opening of new JN Bank accounts; loans to purchase properties in Jamaica; and transaction requests for JN accounts in Jamaica.
That same year, we also opened a second office in Brampton, Ontario, based on your many requests.
Three decades later, not only have we accomplished the goal of connecting Jamaicans living in Canada with financial services in Jamaica, but we have also successfully forged an unbreakable bond with the community, which stretches across Ontario and the rest of Canada.
We are happy that we have become a pillar of the Jamaican community and pledge our continued support for community-based initiatives and groups, in keeping with The JN Group’s mission to enrich lives and build communities.
As we look to the future, the financial wellbeing of all Jamaicans is of utmost importance. We will continue to provide sound financial services to Jamaicans at home and abroad and to empower each Jamaican to improve their financial standing and to create generational wealth.
