The JN UK Representative Office will celebrate its 30th Anniversary this year with a series of activities for its members in the United Kingdom.
Paulette Simpson, corporate affairs & public policy executive of The Jamaica National Group, said that the celebrations will commence with a church service on Saturday, June 30 at the Westminster Central Hall in London at 11:00 a.m.
Miss Simpson explained that a series of celebrations will follow throughout the year, which will include: Members Meetings, a JN Outlook Forum and in-branch celebrations at its Elephant & Castle location in London; as well as, at Handsworth, in Birmingham.
“We are proud to be celebrating 30 years in the UK,” Miss Simpson stated, ” Central to our celebrations will be the inclusion of our members and customers. Without our members’ support, our presence here in the UK would become redundant.”
The JN UK Representative Office was established in 1988 and facilitates services provided by JN in Jamaica, which include: the opening of savings accounts, mortgage loans for the purchase of properties in Jamaica, and the transfer of UK pension payments to JN Bank savings accounts.
These services are delivered directly from JN offices in London, at Elephant and Castle; and in Birmingham, at Handsworth, with support from the JN Contact Centre and JN Bank branches in Jamaica.
The UK Representative Office serves more than 40,000 JN members, who maintain savings with JN Bank in Jamaica, primarily for retirement planning, holidays and to support their families. This number also includes some 600 mortgagors in the UK, who acquired property in Jamaica through Jamaica National.
